Boys’ School

Introduction

The Boys’ School is housed in its own four storied building in Mount Lavinia with modern learning facilities. The Boys’ school community which spans from grade 2 to O/L, boasts of 500 plus energetic students. It contains over 25 classrooms from grades two through eleven.

The curriculum set by the Ministry of Education of Sri Lanka is followed with English Language being introduced from Grade one and taught using added teaching and learning methods.

The Cambridge curriculum is also offered and is formulated by Cambridge Assessment International Education starting from Year one.

Sports

Sports and Physical Education are integral components of the well-rounded Hejaaz International School education. Our students learn the importance of commitment, perseverance, teamwork, and respect while enjoying a wide range of opportunities for friendly competition. We are committed to helping each student establish life-long, healthy habits which focus on a commitment to exercise/fitness, nutrition, body image and self-reflective practices.

Extra-Curricular Activities

It’s not always about hitting the books at school. Learning experiences can take any form and at any time. Tradition has always pushed students to keep academic goals as number one priority. However, the addition of extracurricular activities leads towards development of positive personality traits. At Hejaaz International school we encourage students to take up challenges outside of their academic responsibilities.

Facilities

Basketball Court

Our school has an in house basketball court. Intra-school basketball matches are held at the school court and children of all ages make use of this recreational space.

Science Lab

The school science lab is well equipped and consists of contemporary equipment where teachers and students conduct their research and carry out experiments.

Library

A well maintained library with a wide collection of story books, educational books and periodicals is accessible at our school library. With the aim to enhance vocabulary skills a number of activities that encourage reading are held on a regular basis. Students also engage in reading programs held at the library.

ICT Lab

With the rise and competence in the field of technology. The ICT lab is up to date and can accommodate a large number of students who comfortably execute ICT practicals and projects.
